President Nelson's message of finding unity in diversity
While on a recent visit to Montreal President Nelson used the multi-cultural and multi-ethnic nature of the Choir there, and the fact that the service was being translated to English, Spanish, French and Mandarin, to illustrate the ability to form unity our of diversity and the desirability of such. Some days I come to be a little discouraged about diversity in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. However I need to see the positives, progress and the fact that there is much diversity. I need to look on the positive side more. One positive is that currently we have two missionaries of African descent from the US in my branch. That is more than we had in my entire mission most of the time.
