The inbalance

I'm tired of Muslim being treated as a race. If Ilhan Omar is defined as a "Muslim immigrant" than does not that make the attack on her religiously charged? On the other hand if Muslims are defeat non white, as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were in 1890 Idaho thus their exclusion from voting, then the census stats on Dearborn Michigan and Hamtramck, Michigan are total farces, and those for Dearborn Heights, Michigan next year will be a farce. The fact that census takers and school counselors have battled for 20 plus years to convince Albanians and Chaldeans in my old city of Sterling Heights they were white also seems to show farcical racial data. Sterling Heights' Muslim population is mainly Pakistani and Indian so it has not been eluded as white after the 1970 census, and didnt exist really until the 1990 census, so it was never actually elided. There are a few Muslim Arabs and Albanians in Sterling Heights but both groups are mainly Christian, and Christian Arabs are outnumbered by Assyrians, Copts, Chaldeans and Lebanese Armenians who are very vocal about not being Arabs. That is to say that each one of those four groups numbers more in Sterling Heights than Christian's who would identify as Arabs. I might be over stating it for Copts though. This is a touchy subject in metro Detroit. Of course right now I teach at a charter school in Harper Woods that has 427 students, 424 of them are African American the other 3 are white, 2 of them blonde haired. I am not engaging in hyperbole. The public schools in Harper Woods are much more diverse. The one I subbed at this school year was only 97.5% African-American. At Harper Woods High School I once subbed for a class with 3 white and 1 Xhinese student. True that means the remaining 25 students were all African-American and I was in other classes where students justified their hoodlumism as the expected behavior at an all black school. Back in 2009 Harper Woods High School was roughly half black and half white. Back in 1990 under 10% of the population was black and in the 1970s Harper Woods was close to being lilly white. In the 1950s it was where the Belgians lived as they moved out of their old abodes from Conner to east of Cadiux between Mack and Warren.

The best theory is that Riess is not in accord with or agreement with the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on sexuality. Suing the "Mormon Corporate Empire"

The misuse of courts has reached a new low. In a rambling and clearly unhinged suit someone has now tried to begin a class action lawsuit against The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on the grounds that it misrepresents its history for corporate gain. The suit claims that it is known that Joseph Smith did not translate the Book of Mormon from the gold plates and that it is known that Joseph Smith did not see God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ in the First Vision, but the Church tries to manipulate and downplay these facts. The problem for the suit is that it makes false claims on what is and is not known, and then outright lies about the implications. First off, the seeming main claim is that because at least some of the translation of the Book of Mormon was done by Joseph Smith looking in a seer stone in a hat it was not translated from the golden plates. The first BYU grad

In my interview on Monday for a position at Hope Academy on the westside of Detroit, the principal who has been a school administrator for 30 years said I was the first person who had attended school at BYU, and in fact in Utah, he had ever interviewed. My main regret is that I said in explaining why I went to BYU that I was a Mormon instead of saying that I was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. President Nelson was correct when in his talk in Montreal he said we have a lot of work to do within the Church to change how we speak of the Church. I have already seen some people say that it cannot be done and that they will not even try. It can be done and it should be done. Will we end all uses of Mormon? Probably not. Should we cut back and refer to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in as many ways and by as many means as we can? Most defiately.
